[June 24, 2004] One afternoon, we were sitting in a tavern when the Toy Maker ran by. We heard a lot about him, and he was no ordinary toy maker! His toys came to life and stole the children that played with them. We chased him out of Britannia into some unknown town. It was dark and rainy, with bodies and torches all over the place! Zombies came out from nowhere. We fought until they were gone. I was badly wounded, but Roy kept fighting until the Toy Maker appeared from a tower. Roy stood there waiting to fight. The Toy Maker pulled a small toy person out of his pouch. Roy stood confused. The Toy Maker put the guy on the ground and he came to life! I nearly fell unconscious. The Toy Maker ran off and the guy looked confused. We told him what had happened to the town. He asked us if we'd help him heal the people. We agreed. The town's people were furious at us because we chased the Toy Maker into their town. They wanted us to get out. We left and came across a cave. There were a few monsters in there, but we killed them easily. We went to the back of the cave and slept. We woke up to find the town being attacked by more Zombies, and this time, Skeletons! We went down to help them, even though they kicked us out. We fight fiercely and there were tons of them! A Dark Hunter came out from the middle of the town. It started attacking me, so I decided I would attack her. She fell after a couple of hits. Roy and I were taking them out! Suddenly, Roy fell back, seriously wounded! Then, a knight came up and his sword went ablaze and he destroyed the rest of the monsters. He healed Roy and helped him up. The knight told us that his name was Coltin. The town's people started yelling at us again. Then Coltin said that we helped save them, so we deserved to stay. We thanked Coltin and he told us that if we wanted to find the Toy Maker, we should go into the Dark Woods. Before we headed in the woods, we took a rest in the Inn. [June 31, 2004] We headed straight for the Dark Woods to search for the Toy Maker. We found a three way intersection. We went left and found a two way intersection. We went left again and found some strange monsters. When they were dead, we found a very old and rusty key. We decided to turn back to the intersection and go right. This time, we found a strange house. It was as small as a dog house! We knocked on the door and a very small creature came out. We asked him for some information on the Toy Maker. All he told us was that we were idiots for trying to find him. Then, he asked us if we would spare him some gold. So, we gave him one hundred twenty gold. He liked it, but apparently he was one of those greedy people-things. He asked us for two hundred more gold, and he would give us something good. We asked him what kind of thing he would give us if we gave him the money. He wouldn't tell us. So we tried to talk him out of it, until we noticed that we were surrounded by four more of these small creatures. We gave him the gold and he went in his house and closed the door. We waited around five minutes and he still didn't come out. I was losing my patience and forgot about the creatures surrounding us, and kicked the door down. He jumped, and the others were very mad about my action. He said another door would cost two hundred gold. They all attacked us while he ran off with our gold. We only slaughtered one because the others stole one thing each and ran off. We tried to check the house, but it was kind of tough considering that only half of our bodies could fit. All we found was a lot of garbage, and a small, locked chest like thing. I tried the rusty key, but it didn't fit. So, Roy hit the lock with his sword. It broke, and we pulled out a shiny orb! Roy put it in his pack and we went to the beginning of the three way intersection. We went right and found a giant tree with a door. We knocked and no one answered. So I tried the key and I wasn't surprised when the key wouldn't fit. I started to think that the key was worthless. We went back and went forward and found a large, beautiful lake! A bird was there as well. It was cleaning a......a......BLOODY DAGGER!! Roy and I started to run, and the bird was chasing us! Roy kept running, while I turned to fight. I missed, and the bird spoke to me! "Why are you trying to hit me?" the bird asked. I looked dumbfounded. "But.......You were trying to hit me!" "No! I was trying to give you your dagger back!" "Oh, but that's not ours! Sorry if I hurt you or anything." Roy came back, out of breath. I asked the bird if he knew anything about the Toy Maker. He nodded and gave us directions about where his tower is. He gave me a wand of lightning and asked if I would give it to the Toy Maker. I nodded but thought to myself, why?! Roy asked if the giant tree was his. The bird nodded and said we could rest there as long as we don't take anything, especially his seeds. So, we headed over to his house and looked around. He had tons of stuff! He had a sword, and a couple of pearls. Probably more stuff upstairs. We went over to the feather beds and slept. We awoke and went outside to find the bird, gardening, I think. We thanked him and continued our quest to find the Toy Maker. [August 7, 2004] We continued on our journey to find the Toy Maker. We followed the directions of the bird and found a guard lying on the ground with a knife in his side. We tried to talk to him, but we knew he was dead. We heard a moan and we looked around. The guard started to get up. We withdrew our weapons for battle. He had his own weapon. He pulled out the dagger and started to attack! One arrow and a swipe of the sword knocked it off its feet. We made sure he was dead once again before stepping towards him. He had a bag with potions and some gold. Roy found a toy and it turned into a monster! We killed it, but not as quick as the zombie guard. We went along the path and there were a couple imps. They ran towards us and asked if we would defeat the butcher who was eating their friends. We agreed to help and headed for the tower. The tower was dark when we arrived. We heard screams and munches. It sounded disgusting! We went up the stairs and found Blood Vultures. They were quick, but we still defeated them. There was a small chest. We tried to open it, but it was locked. I hoped that the rusty key would work. I turned the key and heard a click. I opened it and got a potion of strength! We turned to see the butcher standing there with a grin on his face. "Well, looks like I'm having desert!" he said happily. We got ready to attack. In a couple hits, Roy was down, and I was damaged badly. I drank a potion of strength and felt a lot stronger. He attacked again. After he gave me the blow, I hit him and it looked like he didn't want to get hit again. He put the butcher knife over his head to finish me off. I dropped the bow and held my hands over my head. I'm finished! I thought to myself. A couple seconds passed and nothing happened. I looked up and he was gone. I took a breathe of relief. I then looked down to see the butcher. I nearly jumped back, until I noticed that he turned into a toy. The imps were coming up and the toy was lying right in front of the door. If the door opened and it hit the toy, it would come back! I quickly but carefully, picked the toy up seconds before the door swung open. The imps looked around and saw that the butcher was gone. I then hid the toy in my pocket and one of the imps came up and hugged me. They healed us completely and gave us tons of healing stuff and gold. Roy took a potion of strength and I took a potion of jumping. We all thanked each other and Roy and I left the tower, back into the woods. I wondered what could happen next. | |||||
